Dr. Borud spent eight years in Harvard Medical School as an Attending Plastic Surgeon, Instructor, and Assistant Professor. Dr. Loren Borud served as an inspiration and mentor to resident surgeons and students studying medicine, guiding them through the complexities of the challenging medical field. After gaining national and international recognition for his expertise in body contouring after massive weight loss, he founded a program to encourage advancements in the field. He successfully founded and obtained grant funding for Fellowship in Body Contouring Surgery. He is also known for being among the co-founders of the Lymphedema Treatment Center.
